What decocainized means.
Whole coca leaf naturally contains cocaine, which is why it's a controlled substance under US federal law. Decocainized coca leaf has had the cocaine removed, and the leaf that remains, and the decocainized coca leaf extract made from it, are not controlled.
In the US this is a decades-old process: the Stepan Company, the one DEA-licensed importer, has long produced decocainized coca leaf extract as a flavoring for cola soft drinks. The same de-cocainized leaf is what goes into every CocaVida vial.

Extract or powder?
Coca leaf powder, known in the Andes as harina de coca or coca flour, is the dried leaf finely milled; it's the form sealed in the CocaVida vial. Coca leaf extract concentrates the leaf's flavor compounds for formulation. Both are supplied de-cocainized.

What is decocainized coca leaf extract?

What is harina de coca?
Coca leaf flour: the dried leaf, finely milled into a powder. It's the same form as the coca leaf powder in the CocaVida vial, which is de-cocainized.
Is this the same as the CocaVida vial?
Same leaf, same process. The vial is a botanical blend with authentic coca leaves, de-cocainized and finely milled, sealed at 1 gram for retail. Wholesale is the leaf material itself, as extract or powder, in trade quantities.
Are decocainized coca leaves legal in the US?
